Overview

Royal Gambit ("we", "us") provides online chess, puzzles, tournaments, and related features through our website and Android app. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data we collect

• Account details: email, username, password hash (or OAuth IDs), date of birth (for 18+ prize eligibility)
• Gameplay: ratings, game history, chat messages in games, move timings on rated online games
• Payments: handled by Stripe; we store customer/payout references
• Optional feedback and support messages you send us
• Hashed IP and device fingerprints for abuse and multi-account detection (we do not store raw IP in the player record)

How we use data

To run the service (accounts, matchmaking, ratings, memberships, prize tournament payouts, tournaments), improve the product, prevent abuse, and process payments/payouts. We do not sell your personal data.

Third parties

• Stripe — payments and Connect payouts
• Google / Facebook — optional sign-in
• OpenAI — optional support assistant replies (if configured)
• Google Ad Manager — rewarded ads (if configured)

Retention & deletion

We keep account and game records while your account is active. Contact us via the in-app support widget to request account deletion.
