The service
Royal Gambit is an online chess platform. You can play casual and rated games for free. Cash prize tournaments are included with a paid Gold or Platinum membership. There is no player-vs-player betting and no deposit required to compete.
Eligibility
You must be old enough to form a contract in your country. Prize events are 18+ only — we collect date of birth at registration (or on your account if you signed in with Facebook/Google) and reject under-18 entries. Prize events also require an active Gold or Platinum subscription. Platinum-named events require Platinum. You are responsible for whether skill-based prize competitions are legal where you live.
Prizes
Prize pools are funded by Royal Gambit from membership revenue, not from player entry fees. Published pools may change if membership numbers change. Top three finishers split 50% / 30% / 20%. Winnings are credited to your in-app wallet and paid out via Stripe Connect when you complete payout setup.
Fair play
Moves and clocks are validated on the server. Engine assistance, multi-accounting, and collusion are not allowed. Rated online games are checked for engine-like timing. Flagged or voided accounts cannot receive prize payouts — pending prize shares are voided automatically and are not sent to Stripe.
Subscriptions
Gold and Platinum are billed by Stripe. Cancel anytime from your membership portal; access continues until the end of the paid period.
